Crazy Hair Day school fundraising and information promotion pack.

The Challenge

Cystic Fibrosis ACT & NSW run an annual Crazy Hair Day to raise awareness and donations for their organisation. The previous application form and posters had old Cystic Fibrosis branding. A new updated look was required for the Crazy Hair Day posters and a promotion package required including a letter to schools and a teachers fundraising day learning and activity booklet. The brand strategy needed to engage multiple target markets including primary school staff, parents and children.

What We Delivered

Using existing Crazy Hair Day logo, the promotional package design included updated Cystic Fibrosis branding as per new national brand guidelines. Photographs of previous participants of Crazy Hair Day were used throughout the promotional package to engage and inspire staff, parents and children.

The A3 posters were designed with fields for each school to fill in their school name and the date they would host the Crazy Hair Day. A strong link to the Cystic Fibrosis brand was maintained by using the corporate colour palette and font suite.

An A4 letter was created with application form on the back. Variable print fields, addressed to a database of schools, created a personalised approach to requesting primary school involvement.

To complete the package a 12 page A4 Teachers Guide was created containing activities and information for teachers to provide to students on their schools Crazy Hair Day. The activity booklet contained varying levels of activities for different age groups. To assist teachers, an easy to identify reference guide was included in the template design highlighting the age group associated with each activity.

Ann de Wachter

I would like to thank you for the design work you have carried out for our clients over the past fifteen years. As you know, our work is mostly in the non-profit area and we really appreciate the skills you and your team have applied in creating profiles and images for small organisations which might not otherwise have seen the light of day. We should mention in particular Cystic Fibrosis Australia and Cystic Fibrosis ACT & NSW.

We look forward to continuing what has been a mutually rewarding association.
